New features in personalization module
October 19th, 2009 , Piotr KrupaWe really like announcing new GetResponse features! This time we’d like to tell you that there are two new ways to personalize in personalization module. Here are the new rules:
- Unsubscribe url – unsubscribe user from campaign
- Forward to a friend – enable sending message to five email addresses
The last one is great for adding more viral marketing to your campaigns. Urge everyone to use it!

Two questions:
1- what’s the benefit of using forward to a friend when they can just forward by their email system?
2- For remove, isn’t it there already, why do we need to add it?

Thank you all for your comments. We really appreciate your feedback!
Dear Halal
In response to your questions:
Ad.1 You are absolutely right, it is possible to forward messages using your email system. Unfortunately, the forwarding function sends everything contained in the email message, including delivery information like who sent it and when, and other data, and retains the format your email system uses, not the original message format.
When you use the GetResponse “Forward to a Friend” option, your “friends” receive the original, formatted message as if it were sent directly to them − without any unnecessary information. It should look better – and make a much better impression, don’t you agree? And it’s really easy!
Ad. 2 The “Remove” function gives you more control over the placement and design of your message content. For example, you may have a graphic or coupon near the bottom and don’t want to obscure either your “unsubscribe” link or your offer. This lets you place “Remove” in the best possible position.
As always, we’re constantly looking for ways to help you succeed!
