Hi Steve,

Note that the primary function pf the Buy Now button is to make a PayPal transaction, but remember that the message can be forwarded to people who are not on your campaign yet which means you can easily add new contacts this way. Cheers,

I'm not understanding. If you're putting this "buy now button" into an email, aren't they already on your email campaign? What's the point in re-adding the same email address?

Not to mention, I never put a buy now button in my email messages. I use a sales letter/video hosted online. Don't most people? I'm sure I'm missing something but I'm just not seeing the usefulness of this...

It does work :)
Make sure to activate your autoresponder in that campaign first.

In order to do that go to that campaign settings>>Opt-in>>Advanced settings and check "Activate Autoresponder" and save changes.

Then proceed with the integration once again with
autoresponder activated.

You should then be forwarded the PayPal email from GetResponse so you can confirm the new email address.
Click the link and you are done :)

I like this approach and I have a couple of questions.

1. Does this also work with PayPal "Add to Cart buttons?

2. I assume I can add several different products each linked by their button options to different GetResponse campaigns. What then happens if a client adds several of these different products to their cart and then purchases them all at once? Do they get added to all the respective campaigns?

3. What happens if a client buys one product and then comes back and buys another product linked to the same campaign?

Thanks in anticipation,
Andrew

"Now, in order to integrate the ‘Buy Now’ button into your GetResponse campaign, simply choose the Plain Text email address option in the Merchant ID section and select the proper address form the drop-down menu."

Where is the Merchant ID section? Is it in GetResponse or PayPal?

BTW the instructions above are quite confusing to read. These "simple steps" only have "1)" step, but no step 2, 3, etc. And I need to reread it several times to find out whether to do a step in PayPal's or GetResponse's UI, and still confused to this moment.
