I gave up on it for the reasons mentioned by Lisa Charles. Had I known about using notebook I might have given it a fair shake.
    Sorry I blew it.

  • Karolina_Stefanowicz

And some more good news, copying from Word has been resolved, too, so no need to go via notepad!

  • Karolina_Stefanowicz

Hi, this has been fixed so why don’t you give Email Creator one more chance? No need to copy via notepad.

I agree with other friends that it looks cooler than older version,
But since I am in Information Product Marketing Niche, my emails are 110% strong content, in plain text with a decent newspaper-like style.
Therefore I do not use templates, pictures or attachments. I found them troubling for readers and makes things complicated.
That’s why I still use the old editor, since everything is in one single page, and very plain.
My only problem with old editor is in terms of creating smaller width for HTML text messages, I mean narrower lines, I got over this problem by adding a div code into my email source, so I am ok with it.

in any case, PLEASE KEEP OLD EDITOR AVAILABLE, TOO. I will be handicapped without it!

Ciao Karolina and the entire GetResponse team,

those new template otpion look awesome, can´t waite to use them live! I hope they´ll increase the click-tthru´s and stickrate)

I’m loving the new layout, the concept is there but a few fine tuning needed. 1 – the programme is slightly ‘laggy’, 2 – It’s not easily interchangable between 1 column and 2 column. e.g. if i had 1 a column text box and would like to put a 2 column image underneath then a 1 column text box. This is not easily done without a lot of dragging around.

  • BillG

    It’s much better.
    But not perfect.

    IMPoRTANT FEATuRE REQUEST
You need to be able to ADD photos and content to the Gallery and Multimedia libraries WITHOUT going back to the dashboard.
if you do nothing else this will improve the designer

And twice now it has just shown me the HTML source for a previously created message instead of the message. I had to go back and re-create the message from scratch.

    thanks

    Loveeeeeee IT!!!!!!!!!!

Something I want more from you guys:
    - Add more device on preview inbox feature at least for premium member (i.e some major mobile device).
So designer or marketer can make sure that the message will show correctly if people open their inbox using mobile device.

The new email creator is fantastic! We actually recommended Get Response to our clients and fans last night in our business blog! The new email creator saves time and allows for our emails to always be consistent which is a key in any marketing plan.
Thank you again for adding in the new creator!

If anything we would love to see some more mobile friendly layouts :)

  • Ahmad Juanda

I feel pretty good, although still much that needs to be streamlined and downsized, and I still use a little tricky so there must be more to the perfected

  • RFoster

I think it is great but some times have a problem getting around your template to add more rows/columns etc. But I love it. great designs.

  • Abd Rahim

Nothing much to say but excellent. It makes no tech savvy like me participate in sending wonderful looking email and feels good about it. If only email posting has been this simple, email marketing will be a breeze. Keep up the great works.

  • Karolina_Stefanowicz

Hi, thanks for the comment. I just sent you an email asking for some further comments, if you could get back to me on that, we’ll look closer into the problem you’re mentioning. Thanks!

  • Karolina_Stefanowicz

Hi, You can uplad photos and documents straight from the editor – choose “My images” when adding the photo and then “Upload” – no need to upload to Multimedia library first.

  • Karolina_Stefanowicz

Thanks very much Jamie! We keep adding new layouts and designs, so more mobile-friendly coming along, too.

  • Karolina_Stefanowicz

Thanks very much for this, Effi. When it comes to copy-pasting from Word, we’re intentionally removing the formatting to avoid unnecessary coding that always comes with text copied from Word and may mess up the way your newsletter displays. And as for changing font size – try putting your cursor at the beginning of the line and then change the desired text rather than highlighting.
And you can put images next to each other in a line – just duplicate an image using the “+” icon on the right of the image.
And we’re working on the social media icons – so they’ll definitely be improved.
    Thanks again!

Any issues I had with the new creator (font sizing, pasting from Word, needing more customization options for social media icons) have been covered in the comments below. Like a previous commenter mentioned, I also use the old editor for texty (is too a word!) emails that we send to contractors who prefer a to-the-point, graphic-free message. So, maybe y’all could work on integrating a little of the old with the new?

All that said, the Email Creator is super easy to use and covers so many genres. A recent email blast sent to our clients grabbed the eye of our little ol’ rural Chamber of Commerce so much that they asked me what we were using and signed up.

Headed over to tweet you guys up. Keep up the good work!

I realy Love it. because even a novice can use it..

I am sticking to the old format as for now. The new format emails keeps crashing on my chrome.
great changes but I won’t be able to use it at the moment until I figure out a way.

I want to thank the GetResponse organization very much for the opportunity to more than just learn Internet Marketing, but apply it through a simple and easy to use training system of videos and customer support! Thanks! Bill Epps

I’m not a fan. Sometimes I just want to send a “basic email” to my list, it doesnt seem to be as easy to do this. I also have had some difficult changing pictures with the new editor. When will it be more compatible witht the newer Internet Explorer?

  • Kerri

Ordinarily tools like Email Creator aren’t much use, but this one’s different. I recently tried it and was pleasantly surprised to find how easy and quick it is… this one I would definitely recommend.

  • Jangwl

Hi Cindy and thanks for the comment. When was the last time you experienced the issues you’re mentioning? It would be great if you could send some more details on this to: karolina.stefanowicz@implix.com and we’ll take a look.

  • http://www.dreamthisday.com/ Jonathan Huie

I haven’t tried the New Email Creator, and don’t intend to. I never even used the formats you offer in the “classic” version. All my emails use a format I hand crafted and re-use each day.

My very strong comment is PLEASE never ever consider removing or changing the “classic” way to create emails. Losing the ability to control every aspect of the html of the email would be horrible. Please never forget us “techies.”

  • Karolina_Stefanowicz

Hi Jonathan, thanks for the comment and no, we don’t intend to remove the HTML editor – it’s still available as part of the new Email Creator and will remain that way, you simply have to choose the HTML option instead of the drag&drop editor.

  • http://www.juniorminers.com/ Gregg Adams

I only send out an email once a month and I use the old non HTML version.
I use just the text format without images even. Most of my readers are old non computer users and like thing the old way.
Maybe one day I will try it out.

The features and functionality seem all well and good (I’d need to hear more about Salesforce integration since my automation relies on it heavily), BUT why does it feel like the presenter in this video is yelling at me? If there’s one thing I wouldn’t want in a pitch or an email, it’s to feel like the presenter is overly excited about it. I think it takes away from the message itself. It looks user-friendly, convenient, and capable, but I think that should stand a little more on its own instead of being the commercial that’s a few decibels higher than the TV show you were just watching.

Can you make the reading on the t-shirt in Vietnames so my people can read it.
