<p><strong>Small</strong> <strong>details</strong> can make a <strong>big difference</strong>. We know that all too well. That’s why we’ve now equipped you with a <strong>handy new tool</strong> that allows you to see all the <strong>details of your contacts</strong> in one place – <em>to make managing your list even easier.<span id="more-6677"></span></em></p>
<p>The new tool, called <strong>Subscriber History,</strong> is now available when you view contacts in your account.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>How does it work?</h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>When you click on a contact, a <strong>box will pop up with</strong> all the available data for that contact in one place. Not only can you <strong>view</strong> it, you can also <strong>change</strong> it <em>without having to navigate to other sections of your account.</em></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>What will you see?</h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.getresponse.com/uploads/2011/10/details.png"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6684" title="details" src="http://blog.getresponse.com/uploads/2011/10/details.png" alt="" width="530" height="179" /></a></p>
<p>The <strong>Subscriber History</strong> will now accommodate all the <strong>details the contact provided</strong> at sign-up, along with the names of the <strong>campaign(s)</strong> and the <strong>follow-up cycle</strong> they’re currently in. You’ll also see the <strong>custom fields</strong> you’ve assigned to your contact and be able to assign new ones.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6685" title="custom_fields" src="http://blog.getresponse.com/uploads/2011/10/custom_fields.png" alt="" width="530" height="99" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The <strong>Subscriber History</strong> will show you <strong>what</strong> and <strong>when</strong> the subscriber opened or clicked in your campaign and how the contact subscribed.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6695" title="activity" src="http://blog.getresponse.com/uploads/2011/10/activity1.png" alt="" width="530" height="269" /></p>
<p>Plus, if your contacts use a <a href="http://en.gravatar.com/"><em>gravatar</em></a> picture across the web, you’ll see it next to their data. Your subscribers will no longer be anonymous to you <em>– imagine what this means in terms of personalizing your campaigns!</em></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>How can you use it?</h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>What will make your life even easier when you’re <strong>managing your campaigns</strong> is that you can <strong>edit the data within this same window. </strong></p>
<p>Just <strong>hover</strong> over any line and <strong>click</strong> to edit. The data changes will be <strong>saved automatically</strong> when you close the box.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6688" title="edit" src="http://blog.getresponse.com/uploads/2011/10/edit.png" alt="" width="530" height="56" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>So, <a href="http://www.getresponse.com/login.html">log in</a> to your accounts and start getting to know your subscribers. <em>And be sure to let us know how this works for you.</em></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">We’ve been thinking about what else we can change in GetResponse to make it more productive for you in 2010. We decided to start with import contact functions!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Until recently, you had only one mode of importing contacts. Now, you can choose between three modes:  Default, Update and Add new mode. Here are the details:<span id="more-1362"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">•    <strong>Default mode</strong> lets you do  <strong>BOTH</strong> − import new contacts and update information (such as name or custom fields) for those contacts already on your contact List.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">•    <strong>Update only</strong> allows you to<strong> ONLY</strong> update the information (such as name or custom fields) for those contacts already on your contact list.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">•    <strong>Add new only</strong> allows you to <strong>ONLY</strong> import new contacts. If your import file contains contacts already on your list, they will be ignored to avoid duplication.</p>
<p>These new contact management modes should make updating and importing much easier and faster! And help you avoid mistakes! Tell us what you think!</p>
