  • Okay… you’ve got my attention now!

  • chris

I may try get response again one of the things I didn’t like about get response when you turn the opt off your emails went to spam but aweber didn’t.

  • Kennedy

Brilliant. Will the autoresponders respond to a custom date field, for example person enters the date they are available for a sales meeting, and a ay before a message s sent to them?

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi Kennedy, one of the type of autoresponders will let you send a message based on a change in a specified custom field made by your subscriber. You’ll soon have the opportunity to test this yourself and see how this works! 🙂

  • Karolina Kurcwald

    We’re pretty sure it will!

  • YES YES YES! This sounds exactly like what GR was missing. Very similar to how InfusionSoft does ‘Actions’

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Well, we’ll not be missing it anymore! 🙂

  • Ian

    Sounds Awesome!!

  • Dave

Can’t wait! PLEASE work on reporting…day parting opens/clicks would be amazing…

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi Dave, the reporting will be there and you’ll soon have the opportunity to see it in action. 🙂

  • Kay

Great this is exactly what I wanted. Thank you.

  • Kennedy

Thank you. When will you be expecting to roll this out?

  • Karolina Kurcwald

    VERY soon 😉

  • Very powerful!

  • Nik

it sounds really cool. Does it mean GetResponse will finally allow me to set conditions to send follow up messages only to certain users that meet the criteria? (I think the option “When their personal information is changed” should do it right?)
Cause that will be really useful!!

  • I’m glad to finally see an evolution in autoresponders coming around. There have been many updated features as one company tries to out feature the other. But, with all the changes and moves toward social and mobile media, the industry(marketing) needs an overall communications platform that is able to manage and adapt.
After all, once the initial transaction is made, the prospect exchanges their information for something of value that you offer, you must be able to interact with that customer on their terms, as much as possible.
Thanks guys! It’s good to see you again, Simon!

  • Ray K

    Brilliant work folks!

  • That´s REALLY Awesome! Great Work!

  • Sergio

Finally!! this will give you and us an advantage over our competitors..

  • Jim_Ducharme

That’s the idea Nik. The automation should not only make your work easier, but your campaigns even move relevant.

  • Jim_Ducharme

Very insightful Jim! I agree completely. I like the way you sum it up too about interacting on the subscriber’s terms.

  • Looks very useful…..Will love to see it goes live soon 🙂

  • This is exactly what we’ve been waiting for 😉 GetResponse FTW!

  • Etienne

Oh yeah! I’m really excited about this

  • Matthew

YES!!!!!! This rocks. Another big reason why getresponse is imo the best low cost autoresponder service. Amazing guys.

  • MentorMoment

As someone that is a “Front Of The Room” guy, and not so much a behing the scenes tech guy, this is going to be amazing.. can’t wait.

  • Thanks Jim! I appreciate your comments! Have a great day!

  • Edgar

This feature is coming at a great time because we were thinking of moving to a different provider because GR couldn’t do all the automation we want. Glad to hear this is coming out soon. However, many of our clients use 1ShoppingCart, which you guys don’t currently integrate with.

There’s “partial” integration, but we can’t automatically add customers to different campaigns based on products purchased. Currently all 1SC customers get sent to only one campaign, and then get assigned different custom fields… close but ultimately not helpful for automating Autoresponders for people who purchase different products.

Will this issue be addressed with this update?

  • Jim_Ducharme

    Hi Edgar,

Let me check with the integration team on this for you.

after trying to bend Aweber’s arm to get them to add these features i am DEFINITELY switching over to GetResponse!

  • Eng Peng Tea

Please include feature like email forwarding from a normal email account to an email Campaign in Getresponse, so that we do not have to login Getresponse, then select Campaign to do cut and paste.

  • JamesS

How about the ability to send a follow-up to the follow-up, for those that do not open your first Email. Would be nice to be able to add multiple subjects to a message and be able to have a message auto-resend after a certain period of time, if they have not opened the origional message.

  • His hands annoy me! This video somehow puts me off the company… I like their system fine now and it looks like a lot of good improvements, but they talk like robots & come across as inauthentic… Doesn’t work for me at all…

  • Mark

    Awesome! What Bomb!

  • Kim_CPM

Thanks for asking Jesus and a good news response Karolina! Simon and the gang has done it again – go!

  • Cool we can now say it’s time for

  • Excited about the birthday feature!

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Thanks! We’re looking forward to welcoming you at GetResponse! 😉

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi, if you’re looking for ways to be able to send messages without actually logging in to GetResponse, please check our API documentation (this is the only way it would be possible).

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi Edgar, we’re still waiting for 1SC in this respect, hopefully we manage to pull this off soon. Will definitely let you know!

  • Paris L

Will this be part of of the normal getresponse feature list or an additional paid service?

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi Paris, this is a core feature of GetResponse and will be available to every user, without any additional charge.

  • The future in here looks great! Congrats Getresponse team. 🙂

  • Alex

Looks and sounds like a new Apple release 😉

  • That is very cool, but how do you schedule action based messages in the calendar? Or is the calendar only available for the Time based messages? I believe the action based messages will need more logic, or am I wrong?

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi Benno, yes, the calendar is for time-based messages while the action-based messages will be available in a neat list.

  • Gordon Haining

Brilliant. How soon can we expect this?

  • Karolina Kurcwald

We’re not giving an exact date yet but it’s very soon – stay tuned for the next updates. ^KK

  • I love GetResponse!

  • Karolina Kurcwald

    Thank you! 🙂

  • Jim

    Will this affect pricing?

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi Jim, no, this is an addition to the core service and our Customers will not be charged extra for it.

  • Konsti

    Wooooooot??? Friggin AMAZING news.

  • Edgar

Thanks for getting back to me Karolina. “Waiting for 1SC…” What does that mean exactly? Is it on 1SC’s radar and they say they are going to work on it but haven’t? Is it something we as customers can escalate through their “ideas” page?

Again, I like what you guys are doing at GetResponse and love the direction you’re going, but not having this integration really doesn’t allow us to take advantage of these great new features – there’s no way to automate triggers with customers and what they buy.

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi Edgar, we’re in touch with 1SC but we’re stuck at the moment waiting for their move, without which we basically are unable to go any further with the integration.

  • Wooohooo! This is email marketing automation at its VERY BEST! Can’t wait to use it! 🙂

  • HusseinSaid

Wonderful, seems that it will be a hot summer between Getresponse and Aweber

  • Ryan

Yes, this would be a great feature, although, I prefer it to resend to those that were non-clickers, not to those that don’t open, because open stats aren’t very reliable since email addresses like gmail don’t opens as being opens unless the receiver enables images in the message.

  • Ryan

Wow, if it does give us the ability to automatically resend a message (possibly with an alternative subject line) to NON CLICKERS that would be a game changer. I can’t imagine anyone staying with Aweber if that is one of the new features.

  • SeanW

Two years ago I had two AR’s and wanted to settle on one. I cancelled my Aweber account in favor of GetResponse. Many times I’ve wondered if I made the right decision because typically aweber is first out with new features. But GR allowed me to buy leads for a reasonable price so I figured they were, at heart, more innovative than aweber. Glad to see I may have picked the best horse to help me win the marketing race.

  • Game Changer!

  • Alan Bennett

I have been using and automated messaging system since 1989 that is provided by an independent local business owner. I am new to Get Response as of yesterday, so I may have overlooked some things, but as a business to business service provider, we do not need landing pages and auto responders that are subscription/customer driven. We need automated campaigns that we start and then emails me a report when it is time to call on the client. Is this in this new release and if not, it would open up a whole new client base for Get Response.

  • Karolina Kurcwald

Hi Alan, with the new Autoresponders you can create automated campaigns based on the behavior of your customers as well as set a sequence of messages at time intervals that you specify. I’m not sure if I understand you correctly, what is it exactly that you would like to receive in the email report you mention?

  • Timothy Daniel

How would autoresponder 2.0 help to generate a serious income for a new business?

  • Sierra

What is involved in moving over from Aweber? Would we have to bother all our contacts and ask them to reconfirm, or can we just import? Thanks.

  • KatarzynaPietka

Hello Sierra, you don’t have to reconfirm unless you have the permission from all the contacts on your list. Please find more details here:

  • Great post. In my oppinion for this article! As a struggling beginner blogger this provides some great value and insight.
I will work on this strategy now. I think all the above point are worth trying.
