The 19th MAAWG (Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group) conference in Barcelona was a valuable – and enjoyable – experience for us. Hosted in the heart of sunny Barcelona, the conference offered continuous, expert discussions on anti-spam efforts, deliverability optimization and ISP relations.
MAAWG is a members-only event, and it’s extremely important for everyone to participate and contribute. If you want to be a reputable and informed vendor in the email marketing industry, you simply cannot afford to skip MAAWG conferences – and we never do. The sector is constantly changing so staying up-to-date on the latest regulatory information and best practices is a must to ensure top-notch deliverability and compliance.
Why does GetResponse belong to MAAWG? Simple – to make sure we provide our customers with the best possible service and top email deliverability. We aim at being the #1 ESP in solutions and support so we must keep on improving. Our customers’ success has always been the driving force for GetResponse.
What’s the MAAWG’s mission? It’s the largest anti-spam industry organization in the world, and: “The purpose of MAAWG is to bring the messaging industry together to work collaboratively and to successfully address the various forms of messaging abuse, such as spam, viruses, denial-of-service attacks and other messaging exploitations. To accomplish this, MAAWG develops initiatives in the three areas necessary to resolve the messaging abuse problem: industry collaboration, technology, and public policy.”
That being said, attending a conference in a city such as Barcelona was pure pleasure! Spain prides itself on its fabulous Mediterranean cuisine and we definitely can vouch for it! Now we’re addicted to shrimp soup, arroz cubano (a mound of white rice, topped with tomato sauce and a fried egg) and all sorts of tasty tapas (hearty snacks and appetizers).
But now it’s time to “digest” all of the knowledge we “consumed” and prepare for the October MAAWG meeting in Washington DC.
Until next time,
