  • Good Day to You,

The only real “Growth Hacking” I’ve done has all been without automation.

I’ve frankly, always considered this kind of automation to be too impersonal and difficult to understand on a personal level, not as just “Automation”.

Using Crowdfire to help “trim the fat” and get “better engagement” gives me food for thought, but I definitely don’t like the idea of “automated direct messages”. I tend to totally ignore them in my Twitter account, unless one is engaging enough. Most of the time, they’re not.

Not a fan of “pop-ups”, because they seem to always require some kind of action, just to get them out of the way. If they aren’t going to irritate me, they had better be worth my attention, taken away from the article I’m really interested in. That’s what makes me resist using Poplink.

Quuu looks like a good tool, but how much “relevant content” is overkill? I don’t see how to even keep up with this one. I’d rather supply content at the “speed of my eyes”.

MissingLettr looks like a great tool for long-term planning. Repurposing our older (but not dated) content is a great concept for keeping it fresh.

I’ve been considering using my Pinterest account for promotion, but haven’t researched it much yet. PinPinterest looks like a powerful way to grow with Pinterest. A definite consideration for me.

Quuu Promote looks like a good tool for “promoting content without appearing as an ad or sponsored post”. This tool looks like a good fit for a paid Quuu account, provided it isn’t too overwhelming. Lord knows, getting targeted traffic to our offer is the only way to create a positive ROI.

Being retired with usually more month than money, it is difficult to make that important choice as to what tool(s) to invest in to grow an online business.

I haven’t yet invested in growing an “email list”, but I’m very impressed with all the quality information you share.

GetResponse has grown so much from the 1990s – early 2000’s, when for a short while, I had an account, but had no idea what to do with it. I want to do a lot better the next time.

I totally agree, “the tools above should complement your existing social media marketing campaign and boost your efforts for better results”, not if the automation “loses the human touch”.

    Much appreciated advice!
    Arth

  • Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the article, Arth! I agree with most of your thoughts. Regarding pop-ups, I too am annoyed by pop-ups that appear even before I read the content. However, if used correctly, they can help increase conversion rate. The trick, apparently, is to not make the pop-ups or slide-in forms appear before the first minute the user is on the page. Once he spends that much time on your page, it means that s/he is interested with your content and has a great chance of engaging with your pop-ups.
